Total Joint Replacement

Dr. Minutillo specializes in adult hip and knee reconstruction surgeries, such as total hip replacement, total knee replacement, partial knee replacement, complex revision hip and knee replacement, and orthopedic trauma.

After graduating from James Madison University, Dr. Minutillo obtained a Master’s Degree in Pharmacology at Tulane University School of Medicine. He then returned to Tulane University School of Medicine to earn both an MD and MPH with a focus on epidemiology. During his medical studies, he developed a keen interest in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Minutillo completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was elected chief resident and received the DeForest P. Willard award for exceptional performance. During his residency, he was also chosen as one of the inaugural leadership research fellows through the Wharton School. Following his residency, he pursued a fellowship in adult joint reconstruction at the prestigious Rush University Medical Center, studying under esteemed leaders in the field and earning the title of “Fellow of the Year.”

Dr. Minutillo actively engages in research related to hip and knee replacement, as well as orthopedic trauma. He has published multiple articles and presented his work at prominent conferences such as the American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Minutillo and his team are committed to helping their patients regain the active lifestyles they once enjoyed. To achieve this, he offers state-of-the-art technology and techniques customized to each patient’s specific needs. These include direct anterior hip replacement, posterior hip replacement, robotically assisted surgery, and minimally invasive hip and knee replacement.
