In conjunction with St. Charles Hospital and PrecisionCare LLC, Orthopedic Associates of Long Island (OALI) is proud to announce the PrecisionCare Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), scheduled to open this fall. This state-of-the-art facility will give OALI surgeons and their patients another option for out-patient procedures typically done in hospital settings. As medical technology increases and minimally invasive surgery became more commonplace, ambulatory surgery centers offer streamlined services for low-risk procedures. ASCs have become an effective and safe alternative to surgery in a hospital setting and are often less costly. ASCs also offer a higher nurse-to-patient ratio, more efficiency, lower risks of hospital-based infection, and less waiting.
